Need an Official Record?
Use the custodian that matches the Richmond County record:
- Court case files: use the Richmond County court case route or call the clerk
- State criminal histories: follow Georgia Bureau of Investigation and GCIC access rules
- Arrest, booking, and jail files: request them from RCSO
- Fingerprint checks: use the Georgia Applicant Processing Service when an authorized process requires it
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Restriction and sealing: contact the prosecutor, court, or Augusta Second Chance Desk for the eligible Richmond case
For arrest and crash reports, use the Richmond County Sheriff's Office open-records channel or call 706-821-1004. Filed felony and misdemeanor records are held by the Clerk of Superior, State and Juvenile Court, Suite 1500, 735 James Brown Boulevard, Augusta, GA 30901, 706-821-2460. Select option 3 for felonies or option 4 for misdemeanors. Published clerk hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays, but confirm the criminal counter and holiday schedule before visiting.
